The Firstborn = THE BEYT SCROLL

Exodus 13:1-2 (KJV)  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

Numbers 3:13 (KJV)  Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.

What is the significance of being the firstborn?  This is a question that; I myself, as a child did not understand, nor could I rationalize there being a necessity to do so.

It is only at this moment in my life that I choose to strive for understanding in regards to being " The Firstborn".  It is only now, in my 44th year of existence that I have a cache of diverse life experience to view in retrospect against the spiritual, cultural, and familial expectations of the status qou and position of the firstborn.

Spiritually I don't believe there is a difference in the value or status of the firstborn, in regard to gender; however culturally among the nations and tribes, a firstborn male is held in higher regard than a firstborn female.  Of course for the continuation and preservation of family and tribal bloodlines and pride.

As a firstborn son of my mother and father, as well as firstborn grandson and grandchild  of both sets of grandparents, I know firsthand the walk of a firstborn male child, and the paradigm that is bequeathed to firstborns.

Being the firstborn never mattered to me because I was the only biological child of my parents for 12 years, before being the firstborn son and now the eldest sibling.  My firstborn status is one that was ignored because it is uniquely ordained to be this way.  My parents divorced at 5 years old and got into lasting relationships and remarried at 10 years old. My step-sister and I are a year apart, from my paternal side, who is the firstborn child and grandchild of her mother and father; thus we shared the same dynamic and paradigm shift upon meeting each other.   At 12 years old is when being the firstborn son kicked in for the first time. My mother and step-mother were pregnant at the same time, and both delivered healthy baby boys in January and August of 1989 in Detroit, Michigan.

Exodus 20:12 (KJV)  Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Ephesians 6:1-4 (KJV)  Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 24:1-4 (KJV)  When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

Matthew 5:31-32 (KJV)  It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

In my empirical knowledge of firstborns, I have learned that the first burden to carry is the familial value system forward.  The origin of man started as being clansman hunter gatherers that united into tribes, nations, kingdoms, and empires.  Despite evolutionary advancement, humans are still inately tribal within the parameters of socialism.

We are all born into a clan
(immediate family), that is part of a tribe (extended family & friends), that ultimately has a core value system established for the tribe that encompasses all areas of existence. The Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Logistical, Economical, Educational, Cultural, and Political standards of the clans and tribes are usually established or re-established by a patriarchal or matriarchal clansman, clanswoman, or clan; in most cases a firstborn, who is proven to be a benchmark standard of where the future generations should stand and build upon.

Once this system is created and repeated, it becomes the paradigm of the tribe as a whole, and will continue on auto pilot for generations.  Unfortunately, here in Western Civilization each clan/tribe are indoctrinated by the preceding imperialist colonial power that conquered, oppressed, and ruled in previous generations, which is perpetual to this modern era.  Even with the declarations of independence written by all the sovereign nations of today, they are still spiritually, and culturally following an adopted systematic paradigm prerequisite to their existence.
Being the firstborn son of a middle son of three males (paternal) and the eldest of daughter of four females (maternal), and raised maternally; who both divorced and re-married, I have a lifestyle quadrant that is parallel to many, however uniquely second to none.  There are a myriad of topics I can discuss in regard to being a firstborn, however I choise not to be loquacious, but concise in my expression of thoughts.

My intent for this missive is to highlight the contrast in what scripture says about the firstborn; in juxtaposition to what the western paradigm produces.  In my diverse life, I have experiences that none of my siblings have, I acquired scholastic and empirical knowledge that none of my siblings have, and I have never exhibited, instigated, or promoted sibling rivalries within myself or my siblings, despite them having different parents and seperate upbringing.

Exodus 13:1-2 (KJV)  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

In retrospect, I can see and understand the value and importance of being the firstborn of my family.  I have a cache built up of examples in my past where my Heavenly Father manifested that I belonged to Him.  For me to be writing this missive is indication that, I as the firstborn belong to the Kingdom of Heaven.  My Lord and Savior Yeshua HaMeshiach (Jesus The Christ) was also a firstborn son.  As a child, I often wished I had an older sibling to shield me from danger, and help me to understand the things I didn't understand.  In scripture it speaks of becoming childlike before entering into the Kingdom of Heaven, and that is exactly how I fell.  My Heavenly Father gave me more than a big brother or an older sibling, He gave me my Lord and Savior.  He gave me Grace.  He gave me the Way.  He gave me the Truth.  He gave me the Life.

Indeed, I understand now more than ever.  Being the firstborn son of a split and mixed family, and raised maternally, I was poured into by a diverse group of people, with diverse ideologies. Essentially all these ideologies, religious, political and cultural standards come from Western Thinking from England (Great Britain), The Roman Empire, Greek Philosophy, and Norse (Viking) Religion, which all were infiltrated with versions of Christianity for alignment politically, advancement economically, and for unilateral control of subjugated populations. Indeed all of this traces back to the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil.

With the seperation of Church and State in Western Civilizations, we are all born into a fallen world system.  In the beginning the Church was the State, and the State was the Church.  In the beginning the Law of God was the law of the land, there was no jurisdictional difference between Elohim and Adam. In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth and for Adam to have dominion.  Adam also was a firstborn.

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

In conclusion, I am greatful for the breath of life in the name of Yeshua HaMeshiach my Lord and Savior.  I am also greateful for the wisdom and obedience of my paternal Grandmother, who is now with Elohim; for striving my whole life til her return to the Kingdom, to train me up in the Word of God.  I was in prison we she passed, however imprisoned the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) had taken root in my soul and her spirit would continue through me and have since then been led to this moment.  Amen.
